這是第一滴血的主題曲，在第一滴血1的結尾播過一次，然後在系列的第四集又播了一次。

主唱者Dan Hill，加拿大多倫多人，成名曲是Sometimes when we touch，之後他就獲邀演唱這首。
我覺得第一滴血系列是非常反戰的電影，但如果要把他說一個大概，卻也可以說這系列電影是在講一個英雄歸鄉的故事。
第一集講得是越戰老兵歸鄉受到的不平等待遇
第二集講得是拯救越戰戰俘
第三集講得是阿富汗的區域衝突
第四集則是講緬甸的軍閥
你在每一集都能看到戰爭帶給人類的痛苦與悲傷。
而硬漢老兵藍波，在一場又一場的殺戮中迷失自己，連回去自己老家的勇氣都沒有。
所以我才想，為什麼在第四集又特地再播了這一首歌，是有他的深意的。
對藍波來說，回家的路是遙遠的，那不是實際的距離，而是心裡的距離。這個距離在第一集的時候凸顯出來，讓他不知道該不該回去，或許是把在第一集時遇到的敵意代入自己的家鄉，所以他很怕回去的時候也會不受歡迎。
歌詞中的意思與其是在說當時的戰場，我想不如說是在說第一集時在藍波眼中的美國吧。

*1：這是翻譯後倒裝，其實我覺得不需要特別倒裝也看得懂就是
*2：特地加個竟是因為覺得這樣比較通順，但原文沒這個意思
*3：把Could use翻成需要，而不是使用，實在是前幾句看下來聽起來像是要朋友送死，但我現在想想，對照第一滴血最末藍波的自白，恐怕真的是有這個意思。
