全球化加速人口流動，大城巿變成種族大熔爐。為了記錄各地居民的外貌變遷，一名攝影師發起「明天的臉孔」（The Face of Tomorrow）活動，在香港等大城市找來逾百人拍照，然後合成一張標準臉孔。你與標準香港人相似嗎？

Hong Kong with 7.25 million inhabitants is the fourth largest city in China and is part of a larger conurbation which includes Shenzhen, Guangdong and Macao which is home to some 41 million people. It has one of the most liberal and transparent economic systems and has always relied on trade with the outside world for its prosperity – indeed for its very existence.
The ethnic composition of Hong Kong is 95% Chinese and 5% other, of which the majority would be whites of British, Australian or North American origin. There is also a sizeable Filipino community. Chinese (Cantonese) and English are the official languages.
Since returning to China in 1997 Hong Kong has seen bust and boom and bust and boom as the city state has recovered first from the Asia Crisis and more recently SARS. The city continues to be a magnet for mainland Chinese as it enjoys a per capita income on par with the world's wealthiest countries.
With the help of a student at Hong Kong University that I'd contacted through the faculty, I was able to set myself up at the University and quickly got 100 photos over the lunch break. Hong Kong was the third place I went to after Istanbul and Ankara and I wasn't quite sure of how to approach the students. In the end the students understood the concept as an intellectual exercise and it was very easy to convince them to pose. The mix of students included American, French, Indian and Irish but the composite faces are both predominantly Chinese looking.
