樂團介紹：
薩巴頓(Sabaton)是一支來自瑞典的力量金屬樂團，其作品最大的特色在於：歌詞都跟真實發生的戰爭、歷史事件和歷史人物有關，歌曲風格則壯闊並且激勵人心，歌頌著一件又一件被稱為英雄之人的英勇事蹟，戰爭中那耀眼且可貴的人性光輝，以及對戰爭之殘酷與其所帶來之傷害的嚴厲批判與反思。
歌曲主題背景介紹：
本曲講述的是一名傳奇的英國軍人：阿德里安·卡頓·德·維阿特(Adrian Carton De Wiart)，官拜陸軍中將，曾獲頒「維多利亞十字勳章」。參與過第二次布爾戰爭、第一次世界大戰(打過索姆河戰役、帕森達爾戰役等超硬的戰事)、第二次世界大戰(到過波蘭、挪威跟南斯拉夫，並被義大利軍俘虜過兩年，之後到緬甸參與對日軍作戰)，戰爭中至少受過八次重傷與無數次輕傷，被子彈擊中過頭骨、臉部、耳朵、腹部、臀部、大腿與腳踝，並失去了左眼與左手。
然而...他最後活到了83歲才離世。

後記：
這首其實是小弟我的第一個翻譯作品，只是比較晚丟上來；當初之所以會把這首當英翻中的處女作，除了曲子很燃，還有就是對這位充滿傳奇的軍人的事蹟很感興趣0w0
此外，這位老兄真的是辣個比不死之身杉元還要狂的男人(ﾉ*･ω･)ﾉ
