這首歌是寫自一戰歷史時的一段事件
戰爭開始後的聖誕節，原本是敵對的士兵，卻突然停火
與原本是敵人的對方士兵開始唱起歌，一起喝酒、玩樂
可見在那些士兵的心目中，是多麼不想要戰爭，但是卻因為國家少數人的決定，逼不得已才上戰場
在第一次的聖誕節休戰之後，立刻就被軍方上頭得知，於是那些士兵就被嚴厲禁止擅自停火
雖然被禁止，可是之後還是有不少次的聖誕節休戰。
後來這個事件在去年被SABATON寫成歌，歌詞內容非常簡單，就連我這個英文完全不行的人都可以翻譯出來(雖然還是有借助字典和朋友的力量)
