High above all the blood and mud of the battlefields, there was another war going on.

A war for superiority in the air between the daredevils of the sky, known as the aces.

(註二)：“紅男爵(The Red Baron)”是德軍在第一次世界大戰中擊落最多敵機的王牌飛行員——Manfred von Richthofen的稱號，擊墜數由73~84架之間眾說紛紜

(註二)：“飛行馬戲團(The Flying Circus)”便是由紅男爵帶領的第一戰鬥機聯隊的外號

(註三)：紅男爵早年身處騎兵團，後來因應戰爭形態改變，騎兵團解散後輾轉加入空軍

(註四)：“血腥四月(Bloody April)”是一次大戰期間在1917年四月於阿拉斯會戰(Battle of Arras)的一系列空中軍事行動，英軍付出慘痛代價取得戰術性成果

(註五)：原歌詞出自紅男爵自傳書名"Der Rote Kampfflieger"，沒有找到正式的中文譯名因此暫時參考維基百科的翻譯
