比起打中文, 打英文比較有效表達我心中的糟糕傷心感 TAT
(GRAMMAR啥米你就別理, 老娘打ESSAY都是這麼劣哎)
Compare to Chinese, perhaps english can better express my feeling at this moment :(
Having listened to his piano transcription, Bios, since two years ago, I have been over-relied on his transcriptions: the best Anisong Arranger on Youtube: Animenz.
As a girl who has played piano for over 15 years but sick in playing classical music only, I am keen in playing accompany for modern pieces since secondary school age. Yet, the fact that there's no other possibility other than this available like pop music transcriptions with high difficulty limited my choices of music.
You know, able to play a beloved Anisong on piano is supposed to be something to be proud of and happy. Yet, the over-simplicity of that piano version somehow acts like lowering the musicality of the original Anisong. To be honest, there are numerous common problem in pop music piano transcriptions in this era: over-simplicity, chord-only arrangement and not idiomatic. The meaning of not idiomatic is simple: unlike a classical piano piece, while a piano transcription allows a pianist to play a pop song on piano, the fact that the piece is simply a combination of all parts from the original version made the piece simple but boring: failure in bringing out the own feature of piano music.
On the other hand, having one piece being arranged in a chordal way made the piece able to be played in else where, besides of piano. For example, if it's possible for me to play a transcription by guitar, why I still play it in piano? These, has stopped me from exploring the possibility of playing pop music as a way of developing my own piano music. How can I get improved both emotionally and technically through playing those sigh reading-able piano pieces =______________________=
Yet, Animenz gives me the possibility. Bios, as one of his best piano transcription, has high technical difficulty and lots of Liszt-like passages written as transition or accompany. Besides of rising the technical demand to pianist, the piece is absolutely one of the most idiomatic piece I have played among all piano transcription in Anisong. Since then, Animenz's transcription becomes my main source of piano sheets and major motivation to continue in developing my piano music style. I even thought that I can reduce relying on classical music again.
Time flies, while I am still practicing one of his newest transcription City of Eternity, he has announced ending his Youtube activities. It's definitely a loss to all Anisong lovers, and a great loss to all Anisong musicians...
Bye, Animenz, and thanks ;)
